Step Up DIY – Terms & Conditions

It’s important to us that you are completely clear from the outset the way in which we will deliver our services to you. If you are planning to join Step Up DIY then you must read these terms and conditions in full prior to purchasing. In continuing to make your purchase you will be deemed to have accepted these conditions in full. 

Step Up DIY: Key Details

The terms and conditions set out below apply to the services offered by The Milk Allergy Dietitian. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law and set out the terms under which The Milk Allergy Dietitian (“we”, “our” or “us”) provide services to you, as purchaser of Step Up DIY. These terms are subject to any rights you have under consumer law to which we are bound and which cannot be waived by contract.

Step Up DIY Outline

Step Up DIY is an online course for parents and families who want to support their child with cow’s milk allergy and the milk ladder. It is provided by an expert dietitian, Lydia Collins-Hussey, The Milk Allergy Dietitian. 

The aim of Step Up DIY is to provide support and information to families with children who have been advised to start the milk ladder. This includes non IgE mediated CMA and IgE mediated CMA. In IgE mediated CMA this can only be attempted where go ahead has been given from the child’s allergy team that they are happy for the family to proceed at home and that you understand the risks involved with doing the milk ladder at home. You also understand that whilst healthcare staff involved in the delivery of Step Up DIY will make every effort to minimise the risk of a serious reaction, a reaction may still occur.

Step Up DIY Support Specifics

There are two main elements to Step Up DIY :

i) Access to the Step UP DIY Portal with expert videos, handbook and tracker for 6 months

ii) Black Friday 3 x BONUS (access to 1 x live Q&A session, 2 months private Facebook group and additional nutrition and supplements module)

Step Up DIY Portal 

On confirmation of order, the client will be requested to create login details which will allow access to the Step Up DIY Portal to access bite size videos, the climbing the milk ladder handbook and milk ladder tracker.

Access will be given from the point of payment and for 6 months. 

Black Friday 3 x BONUS

i) The live Q&A drop in session

The live drop in session will happen on Thursday 15th of January at 8pm via zoom. A link will be provided in the Step Up DIY portal. This session is allocated for 60 minutes. If no one attends within the first 15 minutes, the call will be ended early.  

It is requested that at all times your behaviour towards others is polite and respectful. We will not be held responsible for the behaviour or actions of any other members. Should your behaviour be deemed offensive or inappropriate we reserve the right to remove you from the membership with immediate effect.

Should an unforeseen reason arise which causes the live session to be postponed it will be re-arranged as soon as possible. 

ii) 2 months access to The Milk Allergy Hub Private Facebook Group 

You will have access to a private Facebook to support you during Step Up DIY. The intention of the Facebook Group is to provide community support and a network of individuals at a similar stage of their child’s milk allergy and who are facing similar challenges. 

The link to join the private Facebook group will be in the Step Up DIY Portal.

From time to time The Milk Allergy Dietitian may post and offer support in the Facebook Group with the aim to respond daily within Monday- Friday 8am -4pm working hours. 

Please be advised that whilst we hope that you will be able to utilise the Facebook Group, we make no guarantees as to the availability of the group and/or the content within the group at any time.

iii) Additional module

An additional Black Friday module will be added to the Step Up DIY portal to support CMA families with milk alternatives and supplements whilst on the milk ladder.  

Disclaimers

The aim of the Step Up DIY is to provide support on the milk ladder.  We make no guarantees or claims as to the success of any client on the milk ladder. Each individual is unique, and management is unique to them. 

We ask that all members in Step Up DIY respect the rights of others in respect of their behaviour and privacy. We will not be responsible for the action of any members including for any disclosures made by any members based on information which has been shared within the membership.

Should you have any questions around your child’s suitability for Step Up DIY, then you should get in touch prior to joining and we can answer any questions. 

In IgE mediated CMA this can only be attempted with confirmation from the child’s allergy team that they are happy for the family to proceed at home and that you understand the risks involved with doing the milk ladder at home. You also understand that whilst healthcare staff involved in the delivery of Step Up DIY will make every effort to minimise the risk of a serious reaction, a reaction may still occur.

Contact and Schedule

Access to Step Up DIY is over 6 months from the point of confirmation.

Access to the Black Friday BONUS’ will be available in the Step Up DIY Portal.

Payment Terms

The cost of the Step Up DIY is set at the time you subscribe. On purchase you will agree to either a one off payment or a payment plan over 2 months via Stripe. The second payment of the payment plan will be taken on the same day of the subsequent month.

Pease be aware that the option to spread the cost is an opportunity to make joining the program more accessible. This is not a subscription product which you can opt-out of making the second instalment. When you join the program, you agree to pay the total program cost in full.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy and protection of your personal data is important to us. Your personal data is protected as set out in our privacy policy which can be found Privacy Policy — The Milk Allergy Dietitian.

We utilise Kit and Squarespace to manage our communications with you and from time to time may utilise the Facebook Pixel analytics tool. 

During Step Up DIY you may have access to confidential information, in particular the personal affairs of others. In accepting these terms, you agree that you will not use or disclose to any person, organisation, or company, and shall use your best endeavours to prevent the publication of any confidential information relating to any other member.  

You accept that any unauthorised disclosure of personal or confidential information belonging to another may amount to immediate dismissal from the membership. Should you decide to leave the membership then you remain bound by the confidentiality and privacy obligations.

Refunds and Cancellation 

It is our aim that you will be completely happy with the Step Up DIY.

In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel and obtain a full refund within 14 days from the date of subscription. Refund requests should be made in writing to hello@themilkallergydietitian.com.

In the event that that you have accessed any of the training materials, live sessions, Facebook group or the Step Up DIY Portal following your purchase, you are still entitled to request a refund but the value of the content which you have accessed shall be deducted from the amount paid by you, along with any reasonable costs which have been borne by us in respect of the administrative costs of commencing the Step Up DIY Portal.  

There is no obligation on us to refund any amounts paid where cancellation requests are made following the 14 day cancellation period.

We reserve all rights to cancel the Step Up DIY Portal for any reason without prior notice. In such circumstance a refund will be provided for the remainder of that month as applicable. 

Intellectual Property 

During your time in Step Up DIY Portal you will be provided with resources. At all times the intellectual property rights and copyrights connected with those materials remain with us. You have the right to use the materials as learning tools, but you are not permitted to duplicate or provide copies to third parties. We retain and reserve all of our copyrights.

Complaints 

If you have a complaint about the membership this should be made to made in writing to Lydia Collins-Hussey at hello@themilkallergydietitian.com.

General

We intend to rely on the written terms set out in these terms and conditions for the services that we provide to you in delivery of the Step Up DIY. These written terms shall constitute the entire agreement between us.

Should there be any conflict between these terms and any membership hosting platform or payment gateway, these terms shall prevail. 

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of your service. Any changes will be notified to you as soon as possible.

If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any such modification or deletion shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter and proceedings arising out of the me.
