Join me this summer…

The nursery/school year is often full of busy schedules, illnesses, and interruptions. Here’s why this summer is the perfect opportunity to get started on the milk ladder.

  • More time and flexibility to focus on milk or other food introductions

  • Fewer nursery bugs that can mask or confuse allergic reactions

  • Natural pauses between holidays and trips away to track progress

  • A more relaxed pace so you can follow the ladder with less stress

  • And best of all: you'll head into the new nursery or school term feeling more confident and your child further up the ladder or even tolerating milk.

This is your chance to get ahead, finally overcome your milk ladder struggles and see your child thriving and enjoying more food freedom.

Just imagine by the end of the summer…

  • Your little one being able to eat what their sibling can eat without them feeling left out

  • No longer checking certain labels and being able to grab food when out

  • Having more choice and watching your little ones diet expand

  • Your little one digging into a stack of pancakes or at the ice cream counter choosing their favourite flavour

  • Freedom to leave the house without a 101 milk free snacks

  • Less worry, no more stressing and having the confidence to navigate the ladder

If you want this to be your reality then you have to stop figuring it out alone…

And here’s the truth.

Every time you put it off, not because you're unmotivated, but because you're unsure, the gap widens between where you are now and where you want to be.

That might look like:

  • Still avoiding everyday foods like pancakes, yoghurt, or pizza with friends

  • Feeling unsure about nursery or school meals

  • Constantly questioning every reaction (Is it a bug? Is it a step too far?)

  • Staying stuck at the same level for months — or never getting started at all

  • Ongoing nutritional gaps due to unnecessary food avoidance

  • Increased anxiety or food refusal from your child because of inconsistent exposure

  • Feeling isolated without the reassurance or clarity you need

  • Delays in tolerance, which can affect long-term allergy outcomes

The milk ladder doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

But it does need a clear plan, the right support, and consistent follow-through.

Because without these?

It’s easy to stall, to doubt yourself, or to stop altogether.

That’s exactly why I created the Milk Ladder Summer Step-Up — to guide you through every stage with calm, expert support and a clear plan, so you can finally feel relief, reduce the stress, and watch your little one move confidently towards food freedom this summer.

Whose the Milk Ladder Summer Step Up for?

Holly’s story to food freedom…

When Holly reached out for further support, her daughter was stuck at step 3. With an IgE-mediated cow’s milk allergy, they had been told by their allergy team to continue the ladder at home but every time they tried to move forward, things stalled.

“We were really confused about what to do next. My daughter didn’t want to eat pancakes, and I was second-guessing every decision.”

That’s when Holly reached out for support.

Through our 1:1 session, we created a personalised plan that worked with her daughter’s preferences and gave Holly a clear, step-by-step approach she could trust. Between calls, she had access to me for reassurance and guidance whenever worries popped up.

“Lydia provided clear guidance that helped us progress with confidence. She was always there to answer questions between calls, which made such a difference.”

Now? They’ve completed the milk ladder. No more stressing over each food, no more getting stuck — just a little girl enjoying the foods she loves, and a mum who feels calm and confident about it.

“Before starting with Lydia, we felt anxious and unsure. Now our daughter has food freedom — and we finally feel at ease.”

Still sitting on the fence?

I hear you.

But this isn’t just an investment in the milk ladder, it’s an investment in your child’s health, confidence, and food freedom.

You might be thinking:
“We’ll just wait for our next NHS appointment...”
“Is private support really necessary?”

The reality? The NHS does amazing work, but it’s stretched. Appointments can be delayed, rushed, or cancelled.

And when they do happen, they might not be with someone who truly specialises in allergy.

That delay can slow your progress, leave you stuck, or even increase the risk of nutritional deficiencies.

As a former NHS paediatric allergy dietitian, I’ve seen the frustration so many families face, waiting months, only to leave more overwhelmed than when they arrived.

That’s exactly why I created the Milk Ladder Summer Step-Up.

Personalised, expert-led support when it actually matters NOW. No waiting lists, no guesswork. Just clarity, confidence, and steady progress.

I’ve got your back — and I’d love to support you this summer.

‘The Milk Ladder is my Jam’

Hey! I’m Lydia Collins-Hussey, a.k.a The Milk Allergy Dietitian.

I’ve over 12 years of experience helping families navigate food allergies and reintroductions safely, I’ve created this summer step up to offer the kind of practical, ongoing support that’s often missing in traditional care.

I want to make your life easier, not having to overthink going out and letting your little one experience life without restriction.

  • SAPREET

‘Lydia has been nothing short of exceptional in guiding our journey to improve our daughter's nutrition and overcome her allergies. With her expert knowledge and personalized approach, she not only helped us navigate the egg and milk ladders but also instilled confidence in us every step of the way’

  • LOUISE

‘Lydia’s support has directly increased the amount of milk my daughter is consuming and put us in an excellent position to continue with the ladder’

  • ANNA

‘At the beginning we felt confused and not really sure what the best things to do were. It was important to me that our son had options that weren't too sugary, and that he was still getting a balanced diet. Your guidance and support have been so invaluable to making sure he's getting the nutrients he needs and that we had good options for his ladder foods. I also really appreciate your suggestions and knowing you were there in case he started refusing them - which is so stressful! You're also very reassuring for looking at the diet in the whole, and encouraging with other allergens which was really nice. Thank you so much for all your help.’

  • SHAUNA

‘We have overcome dairy & wheat with the help of Lydia. My daughter is now able to eat both daily which is just amazing! I don’t think I could have done it all without the amazing support off Lydia. I would highly recommend it’

  • CHARLOTTE

We were able to complete both ladders in approximately 8 or 9 months and we are now free of egg and dairy allergies for my 2 year old. I cannot thank you enough Lydia for all your support. I'd recommend you to anyone on this journey’

  • KIRSTY

‘The support Lydia provided was invaluable and worth every penny!! Lydia was always really responsive and guided us through the journey. Thank you Lydia you have been amazing!’
